On Friday, 20, the conference of the management of the Russian non-government universities took place in the Russian New University (RosNOU).

On December 19th 2011, Innovation Park of the Russian New University (RosNOU) and the Scientific Park of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv signed a memorandum of cooperation.

On November 17, 2011, an exhibition and presentation event to promote Russian educational programs was held in Bishkek (Kirghizia). The event was organized on the basis of the Russian Center of Science and Culture within the framework of the RF Target Program "The Russian Language”. The Russian New University (RosNOU) acted as the coordinator of the conference.

On November 30, 2011, the Russian Academy of Justice held a joint conference of the TMA Council on Legal Education of the RF higher education institutions and the Legal Education Association’s General Meeting.

On November 15, 2011, there was held a conference “Social and Humanitarian Potential of Modernization of Russia” at the Russian New University (RosNOU). The conference was organized by the University on behalf of the RF Ministry of Education and Science within the framework of the target 2009-2013 program “Scientists and Scientific-pedagogical Staff of the Innovative Russia”.

On November 17, 2011 Dmitry Medvedev, the RF President , decorated Professor Sergey Kapitsa, scientific adviser at the Russian New University and a television anchorman, with the order of “Services for the Motherland” of the Fourth Class. The award ceremony was held at the Grand Kremlin Palace.

On November 21, 2011 an expanded meeting of the Council of Experts on Non-governmental Education of the RF State Duma Committee on Education was held in the Russian New University. The meeting dealt with the issues concerning non-governmental education institutions of the Russian Federation.

On November 9, 2011, there was held a meeting of the talking shop “Uley” ("The Hive"). The discussion covered various problems of the Russian health-care system improvement. A lot of officials concerned with the issue took part in the event, including Vladimir Zernov, rector of the Russian New University (RosNOU), Olesya Plaksina, head of the Longevity and Healthy Active Life Project, Vladimir Kupin, head of the RF RSPP New Technologies Committee, Mikhael Fedorov, an adviser to the head of administration of the RF Public Chamber, Ilya Vesker, an authorized representative of the Federal Quality Supervision Service of the RF Health-care System and Alexander Ermoshkin , head of the “United Russia” Supporters Central Council Organizing Committee.

On Monday, November 14, 2011, a group of students from Istituto Professionale de Stato per l’industria El’artigianato A.Meucci (Italy) arrived at the Russian New University (RosNOU). This visit was arranged within the frameworks of a student exchange program.

Last week the monitoring results of non-governmental universities freshman admission quality were announced by the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” and RIA “Novosti”. This research was held on the Russian Federation Public Chamber’s initiative within the framework of the project “Public Monitoring of Freshman Admission at the RF Universities as a Necessary Condition to Support the Equal Access to Education”.
