“That’s an Innovative University Russia Needs!”

Ivan Mel’nikov, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Vice-chairman of the State Duma, a member of the Education and Science Committee, visited RosNOU on that day. He endorsed the idea of mass use of “Cardiocode”, a prospective device, for medical examination of the population in Russian. The new device could detect a cardiovascular disease at an initial stage.

Professor Mel’nikov was especially interested in the innovative scientific developments of RosNOU in the spheres of providing security, speech technologies, video communications and small-scale power engineering. The production process of new materials on the basis of ultra-pure carbon nanotubes sparked Professor Mel’nikov’s intence interest. These materials are being produced in the University reactor. 

The State Duma member noted that he was impressed by the level and profundity of scientific research work being carried out at the University. “I am sure to bring my colleagues to RosNOU so that they could see what kind of an innovative university Russia actually needs”, said Ivan Mel’nikov.
