A theoretical and practical conference “Complexity and self-organization. The future of the world and Russia”, dedicated to the 80 year jubilee of Sergei Pavlovich Kurdyumov (1928-2004), was held in the Russian New University.

Vladimir A. Zernov, Head of the RosNOU and a member of the European Academy, S.P.Kapitsa ,Vice-president of the Russian Academy of Natrual Sciences(RANS) and the RosNOU’s research advisor, D.I.Trubetskov, a corresponding member of the RAS, G.G. Malenitskiy, deputy director of Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics of the RAS, Academician S.U.Glaz’ev of the RAS, A.I.Ageev, director general of Economic Strategy Institute of the RAS, S.E. Kurginyan, President of the international public fund “Experimental Creative Center”, V.V. Letunovskiy, the Head of Frontier Service Department of FSB of the RF and others delivered speeches at the conference.

The International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions granted Russian New University a certificate “The mechanism of development of basic nonspecific adaptive responses of human and animal organisms under the influence of external and internal factors”. The inventor, Lubov Khaimovna Garkavy, made the discovery with the assistance of RosNOU. The patent for this scientific discovery was registered after a scientific examination of application № A-456 of June 10, 2008. The patent was approved by the presidents of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) and the International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions.

Television space bridge “Moscow — Berlin”, devoted to the opening day of International Languages Education and Cultures Exhibition, “Expolingua”, in Berlin took place in the RosNOU. This event was possible due to the advanced technology, used by the RosNOU, which allowed to arrange telecommunications between the Russian New University’s conference hall in Moscow and the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre (RSCC) in Berlin. The main subjects discussed were the opening day of “Expolingua” exhibition, problems and prospects of Russian and others languages in the framework of international, scientific, business and cultural co-operation.

10 students of Voronezh, Orekhovo-Zuyevo and Stupino branches of the RosNOU began their tree month course of education in International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT, India, Pune).

Researchers of the RosNOU carbon nanomaterials laboratory invented the nanoglue that can glue even teflon. This material is likely to become an essential component for aerospace industry.
