PricewaterhouseCoopers and FED of RosNOU: striking up an acquaintance
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ presentation and testing for seniors and graduates of Financial and Economic Department took place in RosNOU.
The meeting was arranged by the Strategic Partnership Institute of RosNoU. PricewaterhouseCoopers’ officials told the audience about the structure of the company, its policy and conditions of selecting and giving an employment to beginners. After that they offered questionnaires and tests for students. There was a variety of tests: an English test, an accounting basics test and two intellectual faculties tests: verbal message and digitized information interpretation tests.
While students were taking part in the testing, a RosNOU reporter interviewed Yekaterina Dobrydneva, a senior expert of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Yekaterina has worked in the corporate services department of the company for two years. She is responsible for cooperation with universities.
- Q. - What experts PricewaterhouseCoopers needs most?
- An. - The main requirement for a prospective employee is to be talented and willing to study and improve non-stop, with a particular speciality a second important thing. People join the company to work on using their expertise and to make a fresh start. A lot of our staff members joined the company having no profile education, but they managed to gainpractical experience and expertise and now most of them became successful.
- Q. - What is a "starting" position in your company?
- An. - The position of a trainee is what one usually starts from. This is the very first step! In a few years people "grow up" to become partners and it is the highest position achieved. Some employees get promoted fast, others advance at a slower pace. It all depends on how successfully a person manages to apply theory into practice. On the average the period of a career growth from a trainee to a partner takes about 10 to 12 years.
- Q. - What would you wish to RosNOU students?
- An. - I wish them all good luck. PricewaterhouseCoopers hopes to see many of them among our new employees.
