Hope to visit Europe again!

During the May holidays RosNOU students go for a traditional two-week training-course in Europe. This year within the framework of “A Tourist Group Guide Program” of the RosNOU Centre of Foreign Languages and Interpreter Training students undertook an in-depth training course including the route “Classic Italy” and “Mediterranean littoral: from Barcelona to San Remo (Spain, France, Italy)”.

The first group of the program graduates has come back after getting their certificates. They got tremendous impressions of beautiful “Italian fine arts cities”. The trip undoubtedly enriched the students’ experience, enlarging their linguistic and cultural store of knowledge.

The in-depth training course included classes by expert tour guides accompanying international tourist groups who travel all over Europe by bus. The linguistic part of the course covered different aspects of foreign languages for professional communication including speaking and reading skills. In addition, students had an opportunity to practice their phonetics, listening and comprehension skills. They also had a chance to study using teach-yourself computer programs en route from one country to another.

The students managed to learn a great deal of interesting things about historical and cultural features of the Italian regions they visited. They also came to know more about traveling and tourist service, hotel services and Italian cuisine. They went sightseeing in Rome and Vatican, in Florence, Venice, Verona, Pisa, Padua and some other cities. For the coming summer the RosNOU Centre of Foreign Languages and Interpreter Training plans the following programs: “English in Malta”, “French at the University of Perpenian”, “German in Berlin”, “Italian at the University of Padua”, “Spanish in Barcelona”.
