The Russian New University (RosNOU) hosted a delegation of People’s Republic of China headed by Chjan Civen, the director of the Consulting Centre of Educational Services of Xian.

The delegation became familiar with RosNOU’s faculties, curriculums, innovations in the field of medicine and nanotechnology.

The visit of the Chinese delegation resulted in signing an agreement on students exchange between RosNOU and the Consulting Centre of Educational Services. The agreement will be realized during the coming academic year.

On the 3 of July the Russian New University hosted a delegation of “Moscow International School of Translation And Interpreting”. The delegation came to discuss a preliminary agreement on strategic partnership between RosNOU and MISTI.

There was held an open tender within the framework of the Federal Objective Program «Scientific and Educational Staff for the Innovative Russia» which is to be accomplished in 2009 — 2013. The winner of the tender acquires the right to make government contractual work to carry out research activities for state needs. The results of the tender have been recently summed up.

The Russian New University (RosNOU) begins to enroll students for a new speciality, «Nanotechnology Management».

This speciality vocational training is arranged with the view of training staff for the companies that apply nanotechnologies, produce and sell science intensive and high-end advanced technology products.
