The Russian New University to save enterprises on the verge of bankruptcy

September 15, 2009

The Russian New University is ready to start working on a large-scale programme to help Moscow region businesses on the verge of bankruptcy to overcome the crisis. This was a statement made by Vladimir Zernov, RosNOU rector and the regional curator of the “National innovative system” project, at the meeting of the Moscow Regional affiliate of the “Edinaya Rossiya” party.

Vladimir Zernov who is also the head of the Council of Russian Non-government Universities Assosiation said: “Given the current practice of the so called external management, no more than 5% of businesses are likely to refrain from bankruptcy. Under our project no less than 80 percent of enterprises could run without loss. Many of Moscow enterprises and those of the Moscow region may become competitive again. The number of small and medium-scale businesses using innovative developments and technologies is to grow noticeably. All businesses accustomed to traditional technologies would turn to resource-saving and environmentally friendly technologies. And, of course, to achieve the goal, we’ll need a new generation of innovative managers to make our country’s economy competitive again.”

The University is ready to train teams of IT managers relying on an effective author’s methodology, developed by Nikita N. Moiseev, a 20th century great thinker. In addition, RosNOU is planning to bear all the expenses for the project without any municipal spending needed.

Vladimir Zernov added: “We plan to make an investment in the project, and we are to get the interest out of profit which would suffice us. We’re sure it will exceed the expenses we’re ready to bear.”

Professor Zernov gave the “Chaikovskiy textile” factory as an example. The enterprise was about to go bankrupt, the workers were not paid any wages almost for a year. But due to innovative managers and the RosNOU project, which is under way now, “Chaikovskiy textile” became a profitable factory again and succeeded in establishing 12 affiliates in the EU countries two years later.

— All we need now is the consent of a potential customer, — said Vladimir Zernov, — and tomorrow we’ll be ready to arrange a meeting with our managers in any town of the Moscow region and proceed to business.”
