March 25, 2010

On Tuesday, March 9, the second session for young innovators was held in RosNOU within the framework of the "United Russia" party project "National Innovation System". The innovators, participating in the event, belong to "Young Guard" and "Zvorykinskiy project".

Zurab A.Otarashvili, head of the RosNOU Scientific and Innovative Policy Office, was the first to deliver a lecture. With the lecture over, the participants who proved to be quite resourceful presented their own projects dealing with a broad range of subjects. After an enthusiastic discussion six most promising projects were selected to develop further. They are as follows:

  • production of wrapping materials for pasty substances;
  • a gasoline modifier, providing for a 15% reduction of gasoline consumption and a 50% reduction of auto toxic emissions;
  • sleeping-bags combined with garments;
  • 3D television;
  • a cement substitute;
  • a technology of raising the height of five-story buildings without resettling tenants.

Zurab A. Otarashvili said: “Projects presented by the participants of the meeting are very interesting. Two of the projects are free of any scientific risks. The production has already been installed, and now the main task is to market the projects. The course of study is to take three months. By early summer all the participants are expected to learn how to arrange their own projects and make them ready for presentation to investors”
