The University of California Delegation Comes to RosNOU

On April 5, RosNOU Department of Psychology and Pedagogics welcomed guests from California State University (Fullerton, USA).

Dr. Claire Cavallaro, dean of the Pedagogics department, Dr. Harry Norman, dean of the Continuing Education department, Dr. Dawn Person, director of the Research Center for Education Issues, Dr. Dawn Macy, deputy director of the Center for Internships & Service-Learning and Dr. John Hoffman came from the University of California.

The American guests were welcomed by RosNOU officials including Grigory Shabanov, vice-rector for academic issues, Julia Gaubikh, dean of Psychology and Pedagogics department, Olga Ivanova, deputy dean, Nicholai Azarnov and Sergei Tenitilov, both heads of the department chairs, and Tatyana Ponevezhskaya, head of the psychological laboratory.

They held an active discussion concerning the prospects of joint research and cooperation. The participants of the meeting also considered students and postgraduates practical training programs. The parties expressed mutual interest in sharing experience of social work and creating a psychologically friendly environment for studying and learning, etc.

As a result, the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement. They agreed to start developing joint research programs in the field of psychology and defectology.
