Once again we proved the concept of tolerance to be productive
On May 27, the event known as a "Farewell Bell" for the College of CIS graduates was held in the RosNOU Malachite Hall. After the ceremony Alexander Zamula, director of the College of CIS, was interviewed by the RosNOU Site editorial team.
Q. - WHAT IS YOUR IMPRESSION OF THE "FAREWELL BELL"?
An. – Heartfelt words of the students who are graduating from the College will remain in my memory. We will miss them. The main features of the events held by the College of CIS administration are hearty atmosphere and family-like feelings. It is for the third time that we say goodbye to our graduates. 105 students are graduating from our College of CIS this year. It is the largest number of graduates we have ever had.
Q. - WHO ARE THEY – THE COLLEGE OF CIS GRADUATES?
An. - Our students came from various countries. This is what makes them special. Those who are graduating today are of 12 different nationalities, and we are especially proud of this. Once again we proved the concept of tolerance to be productive. People can live in peace and harmony and learn to cooperate. There have never been any manifestations of xenophobia, extremism or ethnic strife at our College. Everything takes its normal course there. And the greatest success, I believe, is that all our graduates are good friends.
Q. - IS IT DIFFICULT FOR THE CIS STUDENTS TO STUDY IN MOSCOW?
An. - It is not easy. Almost all the students have found part-time jobs to support themselves. Few of them have relatives living in Moscow. Some students have to rent flats. Of course the circumstances make it more difficult for them to study here. Not everybody can endure such conditions. But most of our students managed to overcome difficulties. We have some students whose Russian was very poor when they first came to Moscow. But they managed to win through and actively got into the learning process. So we hope we can get appropriate results at the State accreditation. This year we expect 25 of our students to graduate with honors, and almost all graduates are going to continue their education at RosNOU.
