The RF State Duma Council of Experts Meeting was held in RosNOU

On November 21, 2011 an expanded meeting of the Council of Experts on Non-governmental Education of the RF State Duma Committee on Education was held in the Russian New University. The meeting dealt with the issues concerning non-governmental education institutions of the Russian Federation.

Among the speakers there were the following officials:

• Oleg Smolin, deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education, who made a report “About the results of work of the State Duma Committee on Education within a period of the 5th convocation".
• Vladimir Zernov, Chairman of the Council of Experts who made a report “About the results of work of the Council of Experts of the RF State Duma Committee on Education during the autumn session of 2011”
• Evgeny Minnibaev, deputy Chairman of the Russian Association of Non-governmental Universities, who made a report “About the structure, upcoming projects and current events of the RF State Duma Committee on Education Council of Experts on Non-governmental education during the State Duma sessions of the 6^th convocation”
• Nikolay Zhiltsov, deputy Chairman of the Council of Experts, who submitted for approval a list of officials from non-governmental educational institutions to be awarded a RF Committee on Education Certificate of Honor for their lawmaking activities.
• Galina Okorokova, a member of the Education Development Committee of the RF Public Chamber, who spoke about the Public Chamber hearings concerning non-governmental institutions of higher professional education and their status and role in the innovative development of the Russian economy.

Representatives of the Rostov-on-Don University of Management, Business and Law took part in the videoconference.

The Russian New University arranged a direct transmission of the meeting through the Internet.
