The Russian New University and the State School of Higher Professional Education (SSHPE) of the city of Plotsk, Poland, have been collaborating within the framework of the Agreement on Scientific and Educational Cooperation for four years already. The new academic year of 2011-2012 began with an impressive opening ceremony. Professor Vladimir Minaev, vice-rector of RosNOU, and Nafis Gadelshina, director of the RosNOU Health Saving Technology Center, attended the event.

On October 3, 2011, there was held a conference of Russian Non-governmental Universities Rectors at the Russian New University. The conference focused on the new legislation for Non-governmental education institutions in Russia and the prospects of their further improvement.

On Thursday, September 15, there was held the First Student Organizations Forum in the Small Hall of the Russian State Duma.

On September 2-3, a meeting of the International Scientific School “Space research: theory and practice” was held in the Russian New University. The event was organized by RosNOU in association with the M.V. Keldysh RAN Institute of Applied Mathematics and on behalf of the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science within the framework of the Federal Target Programme “Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Personnel of the Innovative Russia in 2009-2013”

RosNOU Central Contest Committee (CCC) announced the results of the research project contest among students of the University.

The delegation from Russian New University (RosNOU) visited Shevchenko Kiev National University (KNU).

A panel discussion «Development of mediation in Russia» organized by the Inter-regional union of mediators (IUM) and Obninsk branch of RosNOU was held in the Academics’ House in Obninsk, the Kaluga region.

RosNOU held a workshop on “Effective methods of teaching translation and interpreting at higher institutions”, that is a part of Saturday series of seminars conducted for almost 3 years by NAAL’s Commission of Translation and Interpreting (coordinated by Olga Y. Ivanova, Dean of School of Humanities and Foreign Languages) in cooperation with School of Foreign Languages and Area Studies of Lomonosov MSU.

RosNOU held a training seminar on «E-learning at university: electronic tutorial materials for language and translation teaching». The workshop was conducted as a part of the project «Training text as hypertext: aspect of information and communication».

A report-and-election conference lead by the Moscow regional department of the United Russia party (UR) took place in the Moscow region. The conference reached an agreement to keep on implementing innovation concepts of development in the Moscow region.
